Owned by Billy Thomson, BT Marine (Electronics) was started in 2005. For a number of years Billy had worked for a waterside marine electronics dealer, providing installation and service support to mainly the fishing industry, but not excluding the continually growing leisure market.

Prior to starting BT Marine,  Billy was employed by Simrad UK as their Sales Manager for the South-West area, from South Wales to Penzance, then promoted to Simrad's Fisheries Manager, covering the entire UK and Ireland. This role entailed providing product support for both the fishing industry as well as waterside dealers across the territory.

Deciding to work more locally, BT Marine (Electronics) was formed. We offer sales, installation and  support for most of the major manufacturers. From the beginning the company has continued to enjoy a full diary, with most work coming from previous customers of Billy, and of course new business.
